Last night I watched a movie called Homeland Security. It was all about the events leading up to 9/11. Then it was about the immediate government response to the attack. It talked all about forming Homeland Security to join all the United States agencies together and uniting them agianst one cause. It showed the persecution of people because of their race and the way the US countered the attack immediately. It was a great history movie and ended with a giant cliffhanger. Since there probably will not be a second movie, it will make me angry not knowing how it ends. Does anyone else agree that movies or tv shows with cliffhangers make you kind of angry?
I think those are suppose to be that way because then you get to form your own ending(s). Use your critical thinking and think about 9/11 and the causes and effects that it had and continues to have on our society and country. Look at our budget and how much money is put to our defense or homeland security. Does all of our money need to be going there? Should we be designating more money there? This is a great opportunity to extend beyond the video and start to research it more! How does 9/11 affect you today and continue to affect you in the future?
